Xtensive employs a time tested methodology to successfully execute your technology project. Each of the eight stages listed below are diligently executed in order to precisely meet your specifications and expectations.

Below you will see Xtensive's eight step approach to technology development:
  • Client Interview & Discovery - The first step of our development process is the client interview, or discovery phase, during which we interview key members of your organization to determine your needs and expectations. This allows us to determine the purpose of the web application or website taking into account the goals of your organizations from marketing, financial, and organizational perspectives.
  • Proposal - We prepare a detailed proposal that outlines our understanding of all the aspects of your site. This proposal not only includes the functionality desired but also the graphical "look and feel" desired and other user interface elements. This proposal is delivered to you for comments and may go through as many revisions as necessary until you feel the proposal matches your needs and expectations.
  • Planning & Design - Upon your acceptance of the proposal we develop a project rollout. This rollout establishes the procedures and time-frame that will be used to develop your project. For larger projects, the results of the planning phase are formalized into a project design document. The design document is the blueprint for production of the final product. It outlines direction, deadlines, and processes for the entire project.
  • Production - In this phase, the specifications and procedures created during proposal and planning phases are executed. During production, Xtensive's talented staff brings your ideas and visions to life. In addition, production phase includes the first round of testing, which includes looking for code "bugs" and interface errors as well as other problems. At any time during this phase you may view your websites current development state using Xtensive's project viewer. Although development has begun Xtensive not only welcomes but also encourages further feedback from you regarding any aspect of your proposal.
  • Testing & Review - Although initial testing is completed during the development phase the testing and review phase consists of a second round of rigorous testing to eliminate all possible errors and "bugs". Testing continues with the review phase, during which time all key members of your organization review and approve the project. This ensures that every aspect of your organization vested in the project has the opportunity to ensure their requirements are accounted for.
  • Publication - When the project is ready to be released to its user base, it goes into the publication phase. During this phase, Xtensive monitors the application or website carefully to make sure that factors such as unanticipated traffic or usage patterns don't produce any problems.
  • Project Evaluation - Following the launch of your project, a meeting takes place to evaluate its overall success. We evaluate how well the published solution matches the initial project specifications. In addition, we use this meeting to discuss your possible future goals. Aside from evaluating the project outcome, the process Xtensive employed to complete your project is also evaluated. This allows us to modify our methodology so we may better serve you in the future. Although we have refined our process through years of experience each client can bring additional insight into our design process. We value your feedback regarding your experience with Xtensive.
  • Maintenance & Ongoing Support - Whether your site is hosted with us or not we remain available to help you with modifications and additions to your site, up to and including complete site re-designs if necessary. If your site is hosted with us we will continue to provide you with on going maintenance and the top quality support you have come to expect from Xtensive.
